Church History

First Presbyterian Church, Railway Road, Faisalabad erected in 1902, just after the city of Faisalabad Loyallpur was built. Sir. James Loyal, the then governor of Punjab designed the layout of the streets of the Faisalabad in the shape of British flag, The Union Jack. Local landlords, merchants and laborers quickly inhabited the city.Increasing agricultural, industrial and labor opportunities attracted a large influx of people from different parts of Punjab. Likewise a significant number from the Christian community migrated in to the city to work in government and private sector.
The city now is the third largest city of Pakistan with more then 3.5 million of population and is known for its textile industry. First Presbyterian Church was built to meet the needs of worship and fellowship of both the community living in the city and also of those living in the adjoining rural areas.Nowadays this is the fastest growing Church the number has grown by 600% during the last 3 years.

SUNDAY SCHOOL MINISTRIES

The Sunday school caters for more then 75 children. Two groups have been formed, one group for children aged three to six and another for those aged seven to 12. Mrs. Shahna Emric assisted by six Sunday school teachers named Nazi, Saima, Sadaf, Samina Samson, Sarra pace and Sonia are responsible for these groups.
ISLAM NAGAR BRANCH
The church Sunday school team has started Sunday school groups in different areas of the city. We have very big group of Sunday school children in Islam Nagar, there are more then fifty children in this Sunday school branch. We have six teachers there and Miss Aqeela is the in-charge of this Sunday School branch.
MUHALLA NAZAR NIAZ BRANCH
We have another Sunday school in Muhala Nazar Niaz. There are about 30 children and the in-charge teacher is Kirn Muneer.
CHRISTIAN TOWN BRANCH
Christian Town Sunday School is run by Sumaira Shahbaz.
GALEELABAD BRANCH
Aster Munir our senor Sunday school teacher taken the initiative to start center here nowadays there are 40+ children. and the parents are very happy.
CHAK BATHAN BRANCH
Our Sunday School Team have decided to expand our ministry in near by villages. And this is our first center in the village Chak Bathan.
